Hoots in October

The Hoots had a wonderful month of October as we were "Batty for School"!

We learned about the letters C-G and celebrated with Cowboy day and Fancy Day.

We learned about numbers 3-7 and had a fun time learning to graph with candy corn!

We talked all about spiders and took a class poll to see who was afraid.  We also painted adorable spiders to hang from our ceiling and even made silly spider hats!

We learned all about personal hygiene and how to stay clean.

We also learned about what foods help keep our bodies healthy.

We learned all about our families and how each family is special.

We also learned about being helpful at school and home and read three different versions of The Little Red Hen to see who would help her bake her bread.

We learned all about pumpkins during our pumpkin investigation week.  We learned about their growth, their parts, and we even conducted an experiment to see if pumpkins can float!

We learned all about the color green and made Big Green Monsters.

We also learned all about the color orange and painted silly pumpkins for our PreK B pumpkin patch!

We decorated spooky witch hats for the windows.

We completed a guided drawing of bats to hang from our art strips.

Ms. Susan from the Museum of Discovery came and taught us all about walking sticks and iguanas!

We ended the month with our Pumpkin Hunt!
We enjoyed crafts, hunting for pumpkins, and playing games with friends.

We would like to give a special thanks to Mrs.Riley for subbing for me while I was out with the twins!
