In our "I Can Keep Myself Safe" unit we learned all about traffic signs that help to keep us safe when we are riding in our car or when we are out for a walk, run, or bike ride. After learning about what the different signs mean we went around campus and looked for signs on a Sign Hunt!
After finding lots of signs around campus we came back inside and worked as a team to build a traffic light. We used our straight and curved wooden pieces to build the light and sorted red, yellow, and green apples to be the light's colors!
Next we built our own traffic lights out of paper!
To end this particular week, and our letter study of C, we accessorized our uniforms to look like Cowboys and Cowgirls! A few of our friends found their western wear to be a bit cumbersome and didn't want to be photographed in it, however they were the cutest bunch of cow pokes I've ever seen!
