February Fun

We have had an eventful couple of weeks with holidays in February!
Here is a snapshot into our Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, and President's Day festivities!

Father John told us in mass at the beginning of the month that we are beacons of God's love for all of the world.  We used that homily as inspiration for our February bulletin board, showing all who visit PreK B that "We shine with the light of Christ's love!"

It's not February without a little bit of Valentine's day love sent from us to our favorite people!  Each child sent hugs and kisses to their families and we as a class sent hugs and kisses to the staff around campus.

Haley and Walker helped play the role of cupid and delivered our Valentine class picture and little treats to all of our school staff!

We had our classroom celebration a couple of day's early with a yummy heart shaped rice krispie snack and exchanged Valentines with our friends.  I loved seeing all of the creative boxes!

The day after we celebrated Valentine's Day we got to celebrate Mardi Gras on Fat Tuesday!  We enjoyed free dress, making King and Queen crowns, and leading the school's Mardi Gras parade!
(A special thank you to Mrs. Shelley, one of our homeroom moms, for making our Krewe de Hoot wagon floats.)

Last week we celebrated President's Day!  After returning from our extra day at home with family we discussed what all the president does for our country and we learned about two of our most famous presidents, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.  We even turned ourselves into presidents and if I say so myself they are adorably funny!

Last week we had another reason to celebrate besides President's Day, the addition of our new student Ellie!  We are so excited to have this sweet girl with us for the remainder of the school year.

Have a wonderful week! -Mrs. Baker

Catholic Schools Week

During Catholic Schools Week we take time to recognize how fortunate we are to attend Holy Souls School, a place where we can practice our Catholic faith every day!

The CSW committee had a fun event planned for each day!
Some of our favorites were:

A special visit from Clifford the Big Red Dog before we visited the school book fair.

Celebrating our 100th day of school with fun home made t-shirts and crowns!

Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, and Friends and Family Day Lunch.
We are so thankful to share this journey of Catholic education with the wonderful families of PreK B!
